This tune is not what you would expect out of the city of Philadelphia, but then again it kinda is considering Philly is a mashup of a number of different styles birthed from the different walks of life you’ll find up here. This tune was actually written before I moved to Philly (I should say again) when my wife and I were dating long distance. I was in Western MD, she was in Chicago. It’s been recorded a number of different times, but each one wasn’t hitting the feel I wanted. If I were to sum it up with one tune, it would be Little Feat’s Dixie Chicken, although the message is quite the opposite. Enjoy!
